We want to thank you for taking the opportunity to explore our church. As you spend more time with us, we are confident you’ll encounter a group of people who are genuinely committed to God. FBC was founded over 100 years ago (1892) in downtown St. Petersburg and has been a faithful instrument of the gospel ever since. In 1983 the church made the decision to broaden its influence to the greater Tampa Bay area and therefore purchased the property here at 1900 Gandy Blvd. In 1990, the first phase of the new campus was completed and then construction of the new worship center was completed in 2002. While God has blessed us with a wonderful facility, our commitment is to remember that what makes a church effective is its people, the building is merely a tool. It is our prayer that FBC will be known more for what happens outside of our walls than for what happens inside them.

We invite you to join us as we continue this odyssey together. You don’t have to change who you are, or pretend to be something more … or less. God loves you just as you are, and so will we. As we trust our lives to Jesus—believing in his death, resurrection and obeying his word—God re-creates us for life with him and with each other. Life with Jesus equips and frees us to impact our world for the good!
