Faith in Action

Our gift to you ...

A team of 18 people have graduated from the Hospice Faith in Action service which is a program directed to help others.  It is not the Hospice End of Life program, but is directed to those of us who need help now and then with some of life's difficult challenges.

The Team has developed a system for assisting those who need temporary help with daily chores.  We can visit and bring the Worship guide or just bring some news about the Church.  We can give them a ride to a much-needed Doctor's appointment, or we can just stop by and read some Scripture.  This is a time when we can be a "helping hand."

If you need help, look for our sign-up sheet to list requests.  We will have it at the Senior Adult Ministries table in the Narthex on Sunday mornings.  All requests should be forwarded to Helen at hfitzsimmons@fbcstpete.org.  If you do not have a computer, simply call her during the week at (727) 576-5508 between 9:00am and 1:00pm.  Assignments will be made based up the need, the location and time availability.  You will receive a call back, so be sure to include your phone number or email address.

We, the Faith in Action group, are pleased to present our First Baptist Church community with this gift of service.  It is a gift of love and is from a group which wants to keep on giving.  We are at your service!
